The Envision Difference Fellowship Program

Shaping the Next Generation of Compassionate Leaders
The Envision Difference Fellowship is a two-year immersive volunteer program designed for driven students who are committed to creating meaningful change in their communities. Fellows gain hands-on experience at the intersection of public health, social advocacy, and community engagement — all while advancing their own personal and professional development.

Program Overview
Our fellowship is structured as a two-year journey, with each year building intentionally on the last. Fellows are guided by experienced mentors and gain exposure to real-world nonprofit work that directly serves the unhoused population.

Year One — Research & Discovery In the first year, Fellows dive deep into the research that underpins our mission. This phase focuses on understanding the social, psychological, and systemic factors that contribute to homelessness and the stigma surrounding it. Fellows contribute to ongoing research initiatives, analyze data, and help develop insights that inform Envision Difference's programs and advocacy work. This year equips Fellows with the academic and analytical foundation needed to drive evidence-based change.
Year Two — Difference in Action In the second year, Fellows move from research into practice. Through our Difference in Action initiative, Fellows take an active role in community-facing programs, applying what they've learned to real outreach efforts. This phase emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and direct engagement — giving Fellows the opportunity to see, firsthand, the tangible impact of their work.

What Fellows Receive:
  • Verified Volunteer Hours — Documented service hours credited throughout both years of the program.
  • Mentorship — One-on-one guidance from professionals in medicine, dentistry, research, public health, and nonprofit leadership.
  • Career Development — Personalized support for Fellows pursuing careers in healthcare, research, or social impact fields.
  • Meaningful Experience — Real, resume-building work that reflects a genuine commitment to community service and social change.
  • A Network of Purpose-Driven Peers — Connection to a cohort of like-minded students and professionals dedicated to making a difference.
